Investment Approach

Black Canyon invests in leveraged buyouts, management buyouts, recapitalizations and refinancings, and makes investments to finance growth and acquisitions. We have the flexibility to make investments throughout the capital structure:

• Equity: Minority and majority recapitalizations, growth financings, management led buyouts and acquisition financings.
   
• Mezzanine debt: Highly tailored subordinated debt for companies looking to recapitalize or grow, or debt provided as part of a leveraged buyout financing package.
   
• Less liquid senior and subordinated loans: First- and second-lien debt in companies with a need for highly tailored capital.
  

Black Canyon has the flexibility to invest across a broad range of industries but we have particular expertise in the following areas:

Consumer Products Industrial / Niche Manufacturing Media Retail

We look to invest in companies with at least $10m of EBITDA (or meaningful asset value) and where our typical investment size is between $25m - $100m.
